The Board Rats directory lists surf-related businesses — shapers, shops, glassers, ding repair, and similar — as a free community resource. This page explains how the directory works, the limits of what we can promise, and how a business can claim, correct, or remove its listing. The directory is operated by WP Hatch, Inc. (“Board Rats”, “we”, “us”).
What the directory is — and isn’t
The directory is informational. Listings are compiled from public sources and community submissions. We are not affiliated with, and do not endorse, sponsor, vet, or guarantee, any business listed. A listing is not a recommendation, certification, or warranty of quality, licensing, or legitimacy.
We make no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or current status of any listing. Hours, contact details, services, and even whether a business is still operating can change without us knowing. Verify details directly with the business before relying on them.
You deal with businesses at your own risk
Any dealing you have with a listed business — including orders, repairs, custom work, payments, and disputes — is strictly between you and that business. Board Rats is not a party to it, provides no escrow or guarantee, and is not responsible for the quality, safety, timeliness, or outcome of any goods or services. Do your own due diligence.
Claiming or correcting a listing
If you own or represent a listed business and want to claim it, update its information, or correct an error, email [email protected]. We’ll make a reasonable effort to verify your connection to the business and update the listing, but we’re not obligated to and may decline at our discretion.
Removing a listing
If you own or represent a listed business and want it removed, email [email protected] with proof of your connection to the business. We will remove a verified business’s listing on request within a reasonable period.
Reporting bad or inaccurate listings
If a listing is wrong, out of date, a duplicate, or shouldn’t be here, let us know at [email protected]. Community corrections help keep the directory useful.
Reviews and community comments
Where members can comment on or discuss listed businesses, those opinions belong to the members who post them, not to Board Rats. We don’t endorse or verify them. Members are responsible for what they post; see our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. If you’re a business and believe a comment about you is false or defamatory, contact us at [email protected] — though please understand we are not the author and are generally not responsible for member-posted content.

Changes
